Career & Technology Education
The purpose of our Career and Technology Education (CTE) Department is to empower and prepare our students with the practical skills, knowledge, and real-world experiences necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving job market and contribute to the well-being of our rural community. We are committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that combines academic excellence with hands-on, industry-relevant training, enabling our students to explore diverse career pathways, discover their passions, and emerge as competent, confident, and resourceful individuals.
In alignment with our high school's mission and values, the Career and Technology Education Department at RLOA is dedicated to providing an educational experience that equips our students with the skills, confidence, and determination to chart their own pathways toward a prosperous future, uplift their families, and enrich our community. Together, we build a brighter tomorrow through education, opportunity, and empowerment.
RLOA offers Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, and Business/Finance/Hospitality Management pathways. Students may reach completer status by taking courses in these pathways. Students also have the opportunity to earn industry certifications, and take part in work based learning opportunities. The slideshow below outlines the paths that students may take, as well as the classes required for completer status, industry certifications, dual-enrollment, and work-based learning opportunities.
