Things to know about me
This is my thrd year at Royal Live Oaks Academy and I enjoy meeting, greeting your students and taking care of them and educating them. This year I will be teaching Algebra 2 and PreCalculus. I always start my year by stating: I am a parent first and therefore an educator by default. Your students by default become my children and are treated as such; with care and devotion.
I have three biological children, four grandchildren. I am married and have been for the past 15 years. I foster cats and dogs for Humane Society of the Low Country, and this past summer we partnered with Palmetto Animal League.
I have been a paraprofessional at a GED program in New York, a high school math teacher, an adjunct math professor, and a numeracy coach.
I have an Associates Degree from Queensborough Community College - Business Administration. A Bachelor's Degree from York College - Secondary Education and Mathematics and a Master's Degree from Cambridge College - Mathematics Education.
I have taught in different states, on varying levels, and I am very grateful to be here to assist your child on their knowledge and understanding in mathematics.
